The Chrony Beta Model Shooting Chronograph accurately measures bullet velocities fired through the sensor bars and displays their velocity on the LCD screen. It features all the existing functionality of its predecessor models but this higher end model adds additional functionality. The Beta Model has a 60-shot memory (divided into 6 numbered strings from 2 to 10 shots each, with one set of statistics for each string). The string sizes can also be changed which would suit the measurement of limited testing of different powder weights for example.
The unit can be switched off, taken home and switched on again for reviewing your shot information from a day at the range. With an optional PC interface you can download velocities directly to your computer for further analysis. It can move from string to string instantly and interruptions to shooting on any string can occur without memory loss. Each string will deliver its own statistics. The Beta Model also has a convenient forget button which enables users to clear individual string memory instantly. The unit is also capable of deleting all the data from memory or just individual shots upon the shooters request.
The Beta Model Chrony will register and display velocities ranging from only 9 mps (30 fps) right up to 2100mps (7000 fps) on its 4 digit LCD display. The chronograph is capable of registering the velocity of tiny rounds like the .17 HMR right up to the largest centerfire rifle, pistol and shotgun cartridges. With the addition of one 9 volt battery, the Beta Model Shooting Chrony works straight out of the box displaying bullet velocity on its easy to read liquid crystal display. The 9 volt battery will last for up to 48 hours of continuous shooting and displays the shot number as well as the velocity.
The Beta Model Chronograph comes with extension bars and an extension diffuser to allow for a larger shooting area. It has an adaptor fitted to the bottom of the unit so that any standard camera tripod will attach to it for a simple set up and the unit is capable of accepting the additional accessories that Shooting Chrony manufactures.
The Shooting Chrony Beta Model Chronograph is best positioned at least 3 metres forward of the muzzle and will display incredibly accurate readings of bullet velocities within about a 99.5% tolerance. It will register velocity readings of projectiles from pistols, rifles, shotguns, crossbows, paintball guns, black powder firearms, air rifles, and compound bows.
Wether it be competition pistol shooters eager to calculate power factor or for hand loaders or long range bench rest shooters perusing pin point accuracy, the Beta Model Chronograph from Shooting Chrony will deliver accurate data from your loads.
